Why Clinical Physical Assessment?
Clinical Physical Assessment is a foundational skill for healthcare and wellness practitioners, enabling accurate observation, screening, and functional evaluation of the human body. A strong assessment framework supports safer care, better clinical reasoning, and more effective treatment planning across wellness, rehabilitation support, and manual therapy settings.

This two-day workshop is designed to provide participants with practical assessment tools and hands-on experience to confidently evaluate posture, movement, and basic functional integrity within a wellness-based scope of practice.

This workshop is ideal for Registered Massage Therapists, bodyworkers, osteopathy aides, physiotherapy aides, rehabilitation assistants, wellness practitioners, and healthcare support professionals seeking to strengthen their assessment and screening skills. No prior clinical assessment experience is required.

Introduction to Clinical Physical Assessment
Principles of observation and clinical reasoning
Postural assessment and alignment analysis
Gait and movement screening
Range of motion assessment (active and passive)
Basic orthopedic screening tests
Palpation skills and tissue assessment
Red flags, contraindications, and referral considerations
Documentation and charting fundamentals

Hands-On Practical Training
Participants will engage in supervised hands-on assessment practice, learning safe evaluation techniques, proper positioning, and effective practitioner communication. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, safety, and ethical practice.
