2. What are the Minimum Academic Admission Requirements?

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner:

  1. Applicants must have a grade 12 high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
  2. The program is one year full-time for high school graduates or those without health education.
  3. Individuals with prior health education can complete the program in six months (full- time) or twelve months (part-time).
  4. Orthotherapy Kinesitherapy:

  5. Applicants must have an Anatomy and Physiology/Massage or equivalent qualification.
  6. The program duration is 6 months.
  7. Reflexology:

  8. Applicants must have a grade 12 high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
  9. The program duration is 2 months.
  10. Restorative Care Education Training:

    Professionals with PSW, PTA, OTA, PT, and Nursing or equivalent qualifications can apply.

    We offer different workshop lengths:

    1-Day Training: Introduction to Restorative Care (for PSW, PTA, OTA, and Frontline Healthcare Workers)

    2-Day Training: Comprehensive Education Training (for Healthcare Professionals including RPN, RN, PT, OT)

    3-Day Training: In-depth, comprehensive Education Training (for Healthcare Professionals including RPN, RN, PT, OT)

    3. What is the Academic Program's mode of delivery?

    Our Academic Programs are offered in both online and in-person formats. The Standard Entry Stream provides a blended approach, allowing flexibility for students while benefiting from the expertise of our instructors worldwide.

  16. Graduates from Sara Canadian Academy can earn up to $135,000 annually.

6. Is Sara Canadian Academy registered as per the Private Career Colleges Act of 2005?

“Private career college” means an educational institution or other institution, agency, or entity that provides students with one or more vocational programs for a fee pursuant to individual contracts with the students. Few vocational programs are exempt from registration under this act. Sara Canadian Academy is registered and licensed by the Ontario Provincial Government (License Number 1000931233) and federally registered by Employment and Social Development Canada (License Number 7009/14143).

7. Do I need to Sign a Student Contract?

No, there is no obligation to sign a student contract; you can join as you wish.

8. Is Tuition Tax Deductible?

Tuition fees are 100% tax deductible at the federal level and 10% at the provincial level. Education union dues are exempt from GST/HST.

9. Does the Canadian Government Recognize Manual Osteopathy?

Yes, Canada's National Occupational Classification (NOC) recognizes Manual Osteopathy under NOC Code # 32209 (Practitioners of Natural Healing).

Yes, graduates can work in the United States as Osteopathic Manual Practitioners.

11. Do Health Plans and Insurers cover Osteopathy, Orthotherapy & Kinesitherapy, and Reflexology Services?

Typically, extended health plan (EHP) providers allocate annual benefits ranging from $300 to $500 for osteopathy in Ontario, though coverage may vary by policy. However, in the remaining 42 states, they must enter an association, such as the American Association of Natural Wellness Practitioners (AANWP), to obtain a wellness practitioner license to provide osteopathic manual care. Graduates need to check the specific requirements and regulations of the state they wish to work in to ensure compliance with local laws.
